Hi everyone:) I am very excited to announce the launch of Twisted Hair Studio in Friendswood!

I will be offering all the same great services in a cute and cozy new atmosphere I can now call my own. I will also be accepting online appointments thru Vagaro. Just choose your service, check availablility, and submit! A confirmation email will be sent to us both. This move will be better for my family, allowing me to be closer to home and the kids' schools. The convenience on my end makes me much more available to YOU!

September Madness

As everyone is getting ready for back to school it has been absolutely NUTS at the salon! Although I have enjoyed an extra day behind the chair giving everyone a fresh look for fall, September will be a different story. It's a GORGEOUS month for weddings and I'm looking forward to the change in pace as I get back to my brides:) Two weddings and a Quinceanera with My Make-Up Rocks, a boudoir party with photographer and friend miss Amber Strickler, and a birthday weekend cram-packed with fun for me and my girl! Be looking for updates to the portfolio page soon as there will be a flood of new styles coming in this month!
If you are needing an appointment with me at Untangled, please be patient as I am working as much as I am able to accommodate to the shorter weeks ahead. It is always best to book a week in advance, but it never hurts to call if you're a last minute girl like me!
Trend setting is often inspired by spontaneity, so don't be afraid to take a risk every now and then ;)

Love My Job!

March is always a busy month for weddings... it's beautiful, why not?! I got married  in March too! I have already seen 10 brides this month, and will have the pleasure of styling for 3 more and their bridal parties before the end of the month. It tends to be crazy, but I enjoy every minute of it! I have the BEST "job" and I am so greatful to have been given this skill and opportunity. A referral is the best compliment anyone could give me... from a bride, client, friend, co-worker, or networker. Theresa Rocabado has sent me more business than I could say and she is very deserving of the returning end. Her company My Make-Up Rocks services brides, models, Texan cheerleaders and even recording artists all over the Houston area. If you are in need of a make-up artist (or airbrush tan) you HAVE to check out her work! Don't know what I would do without her, she is simply one of the best in Houston.
I also want to bring special attention to Amber Strickler. She is a fabulous photographer and raves about my work! I know this because her clients tell me :) She does beautiful wedding photography, sexy boudoir parties, and portait sessions of all kinds. You can see her work at ZaseyPhotography.com. Her energy is second to none and I absolutely love working with her!

Untangled

I found a new home! Theresa of My Make-Up Rocks dragged me with her to a new location, Untangled Hair Studio and Spa. I will be in the salon Tuesdays and Thursdays offering cut and color services, as well as extensions and the FABULOUS Brazilian Blowout:) If you haven't heard about this, visit the link and see what this great smoothing service is about. It relaxes natural curl or wave, smooths the hair shaft, and makes it shiny and frizz-FREE for about 3-4 months. It can be done immediately after a color service and only takes about 90 minutes. The best part is- you go home with the product needed to maintain these results!

Eye Candi Extensions!

This is my newest favorite extension client! A dear old friend who is absolutely beautiful, but like the rest of us has done her share of damage to her hair and wants thicker fuller hair. She is a natural blonde with highlights so we color-matched and put in about 150 fusion bonded extensions. The hair comes in tiny 2mm bundles and are attached individually (taking about as long as the average color service). The bonding agent is made of a keratin protein similar to that of human hair so it is not damaging at all. You get beautiful natural looking length that is shampooed and styled just like your own hair and it lasts 3-4 months!
It's sooooo my new addiction;)

Tru Lash

So how many of you have eyelash extensions or want to have them?
I just left a photo shoot for Tru Lash, a new company with a natural, chemical free adhesive that will not irritate your skin or cause health problems. TruLash.net is still in the works but you can contact a rep at 832-659-0121. Be looking for their adds featuring models rocking hair by Candi and makeup by Theresa of My MakeUp Rocks.The girls all looked AMAZING and I am definitely wishing I had those gorgeous lashes myself! I will have pictures added to the portfolio soon :)

Ok so I've finally caved... I'm gonna see what this whole "blog" thing is all about. So for all of you who have been asking for a site, or pictures, or more information, here it is! I will be updating and changing things a lot over the next several days so keep checking updates for my most current project. The other tabs at the top should be useful in finding pricing info for bridals, directions to the salon, and pictures of past projets.
